H4H in 2020: A Year in Review

As 2020 comes to a close, we’d like to reflect briefly on the progress that’s been made over the past year and the current state of the various projects connected to H4H. It has been a difficult year for many people throughout the world due to the ongoing impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Large scale job loss, increased concentrations of wealth amongst a shrinking few, and massive printing of money from central banks have all been accelerated and amplified in its aftermath.

Now more than ever, it is critical we make substantial strides in the H4H mission to create global basic income and value distributions a reality.

Progress Report on H4H Projects

BrightID:

BrightID is a critical tool that underlies all the other projects connected to H4H. In short, it proves someone is unique on the internet without requiring personal data to do so. It is an important solution both for allowing global value distributions as well as for many other unique and important issues.

This year, BrightID has:

• Grown to well over 6,500 verified users.
• Developed partnerships with projects including Gitcoin, 1Hive, CLR fund, and more.
• Developed a robust global team.
• Made big improvements to the BrightID app and its user interface.

Manna:

It has been a quiet year for Manna as we’ve continued to solidify the critical upgrade for the underlying technology and economics. We are happy to say we have been making good progress and will begin sharing in greater details the solutions and changes coming to manna very soon.

We hope 2021 can be an exciting and fruitful year for Manna as we finalize these important updates!

Borderless Basic Income:

BBI was introduced in 2020 with the aim to begin basic income giveaways of $100/ month for a year to random recipients across the globe. The project was inspired by a very successful German program called Mein Grundeinkommen. We launched it to raise awareness of the call for a global basic income; both by demonstrating its impact, as well as by testing out new financial technology that can make it a reality.

We have begun raising money for the initial giveaways and plan to start the program in early to mid 2021.

Humanity Fund:

The Humanity Fund aims to use a sustainable fund of stocks, dividends, profit sharing, and more from businesses and individuals throughout the world as a means for an ongoing global dividend to everyone in the world.

While we have some hopeful prospects and fundamental elements, it is still in the development stage and we hope to begin solidifying the details more precisely in 2021!
